Welcome to the Ventura County Bass Club website.  Select News for current information on the club.

The Ventura County Bass Club is known for helping others become better bass anglers and making the club "more than a bass club" through endless efforts in helping our local lakes and communities in many worthwhile projects.

Our Mission

To stimulate public awareness of bass fishing as a major sport:
         to offer our state conservation department moral and political support and encouragement;
         to report any polluter and call public attention to crime;
         to improve our skills as bass anglers through social and friendly exchange of bass catching techniques and ideas;
         and to promote and encourage youth fishing.

History

Ventura County Bass Club is one of the oldest and best bass clubs in Southern California.  The Club was first formed around 1974 with just a handful of members.  With the aid of the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society better known as B.A.S.S, tournaments were formed and prizes awarded.  The interest in bass fishing soared.  The Ventura County Bass Club quickly grew and today consists of over 45 members.
